Emily Waddell

Chief Operating Officer

Emily brings a wealth of operational expertise to her role, gained over nearly three decades in the residential development and commercial property sectors. Emily has built her career at Walker Group and Westerwood, progressing through the business and being appointed a Director of Westerwood in 2019.

Now responsible for the day-to-day management of the business and the execution of its strategic objectives, she works to ensure that resources are optimised to support sustainable growth and performance.

ACMA qualified, Emily has developed strong relationships across the banking, legal, and financial advisory sectors. She is committed to driving operational excellence, team development and welfare, and leads with a long-term vision for business resilience.

Craig Watson

Group Property Director

Craig is well known across the Scottish property market having headed several business space agency teams, including Cushman & Wakefield and Knight Frank. In 2009 he set up an independent consultancy advising landlords and occupiers across all sectors. During his agency career Craig advised and was involved on a number of Scotland's largest property projects, not least the site assembly and development advice on 200 Broomielaw for Walker Group.

Craig started working with Walker Group as a consultant in 2014 and subsequently became a full time Director of Westerwood in 2019. He leads on the identification of new opportunities and the implementation of our investment and development properties.

Craig is also a Trustee on the Board of Citizens Advice Edinburgh.

Craig Walker

Director

Craig specialises in construction and construction management. Prior to working with Walker Group he ran his own house building company, specialising in mid to upper market homes in the Lothians. With this specialist background in construction and construction management Craig’s responsibilities lie in managing all aspects of the pre-construction, construction, and client experience processes.

Within Westerwood, Craig has led on our residential property developments including those under joint venture arrangements.

Bruce Walker

Group Chair

Bruce’s background is in commercial and residential development. He is a graduate of Robert Gordon’s University in Quantity Surveying and specialises in acquisition, funding and managing this process. He has experience across all types of development and also spent a number of years working in private practice and contracting before joining Walker Group.

In 2019, he was instrumental in the sale of Walker Group to a plc housebuilder. He then became Managing Director at Westerwood, where he was actively involved in its day-to-day operations before moving to a more strategic position as Group Chair in 2025.

Following the sale of Walker Group, Bruce took on the role of Managing Director at Westerwood, where he was actively involved in its day-to-day operations. He has recently moved to a more strategic position as Group Chair.

Kerry Kell

Assistant Accountant

Kerry joined Westerwood in early 2025, reuniting with former colleagues and bringing with her 30 years of experience in the house building sector and a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the finance function.

In her role, Kerry oversees the day-to-day management of Westerwood’s finance operations, including the completion of year-end processes, ensuring all run smoothly and efficiently. Her responsibilities also include liaising with tenants, agents, and other external parties, as well as supporting Emily with financial reporting and analysis.

Wendy Harwood

Assistant Accountant

Drawing on a nearly 30 year experience in finance and administration, with a previous focus on payroll and the construction industry scheme within the residential development sector, Wendy plays a key role in supporting Westerwood’s financial operations through the processing of payables and receivables, bank reconciliations, and a broad range of financial and administrative tasks.

Wendy is our Health and Safety Coordinator, working alongside Emily to oversee the administration of our health and safety procedures.   Regularly communicating with external parties, her strong attention to detail ensures compliance and accurate record-keeping, contributing to the efficient and effective running of the company’s finance function and administration.

Jayne Bryce

PA and Office Manager

Jayne provides comprehensive support to Westerwood’s Directors across a broad spectrum of operations, including event planning and coordination, HR processes, and office and contractual administration. She also oversees the administration of the company’s charitable contributions and wider corporate social responsibility initiatives. Her extensive experience in international event management brings a high level of precision, professionalism, and organisational expertise to the team.
